These Swallows are welcome visitors to our farm buildings and return each year, on their annual migration from Africa to the place of their birth, to breed future generations.
The most pleasant distraction in farming is the huge variety of wildlife, landscapes and scenery which presents itself throughout the working day and night.

The uncontrollable elements of nature can bring about tremendous hardship in farming and the Cumbrian floods of 2015-2016 were an example of this. We were delighted to be able to support these farmers by contributing straw to Forage Aid

We are members of the Green Pea Company, which is Europe's largest pea vining co-operative producing exclusively for Birds Eye. R.M. Davey assisted with the running of one of the vining groups in the 1970s.
